So in the past two days I've been witness to two large scales protests while I was on the bus.
The first effected me the least but pissed me off the most. On all four corners of a major intersections there were anti abortion protesters. Now let me say that I have the utmost respect for everyone on both sides of the debate and as log as you don't try to hurt me or force your views on me I'm fine in fact I could even have been bothered by the protest if there hadn't been a small girl of maybe 7 , looking cold and bored holding a sign saying " Abortion hurts children".
I'm sorry I refuse to believe that kid was out their of their own free will and wanted nothing more than to the spread the word of pro life. Think what you want people but exploiting a child to save children just smacks of wrong to me. It was cold yesterday you were standing right at a bus stop breathing in fumes and at least one of you was using your child to promote your message.
The second protest was part of a sepcial bus union on strike. All the morte power to them asfar as I'm concerned except when they are marching infront of mah buss making it impossible to leave the station. making me nearly late to job trianing does not make me sympathise more with you. also your stike is causing choas tryign to get anywhere on the busses that are left.
I had job trianing today 3 1/2 hours on me feet and they ache like hell.
p.s To nut nut: You should petition to get Canadian election coverage, the things we do are important too I swear.

I have been tagged
The always awesome nut nut tagged me for this meme, I think I've seen it before back when I was on Livejournal.
Here are the rules:
Grab the nearest book. Open the book to page 56. Find the fifth sentence. Post the text of the next two to five sentences in your journal/blog along with these instructions. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST. Tag five other people to do the same.
Page 56, 5th sentence:
The Third Reich made clever use of the Neibelung legends.
The demon lover: The roots of terrorism. By Robin Morgan.
Technically my volume 2 Gravitation manga was closer by a few inches( aka I have books littering the floor so I can easily spot and reach what I want) . However Manga are essentially Japanese comic books and I don't think soemthing entirely composed of dialogue and pretty pictures counts.
Just in case though
pg 56 sentence 5
" Maybe not but those two guys are way more popular than I am."
Gravitation volume 2 by Maki murakami.
Sentence is also very true Shuichi and Hiro are far more popular than boring student council dude. Then again being main characters it's kind of a given.
* Not that iIthink anyone will but a warnign to anyone who googles gravitation out of curiosity. It is a shonen ai meaning it contains homosexual content.
This was a fun little meme. I don't have anyone I can actually tag but I may see if I can't get soem lj friends to do it just to carry on the chain.

Politics and other things weighing me down
So tonight was the night my fiancee and I sat down for some survivor and Grey's anatomy, typical Thursday goodness. We get through survivor just fine ( good job getting rid of Paloma , Kota)and go to find grey's. Apparently the american and canadian debates are all that's on tv. 900 channels and atleast half of them one of the two debates.
Despite being Canadian we started with the American debate. It was boring and less debating then pimping out the president each Vice supported. They went on about the floundering economy and so we switched. Canadian debated is also going through economy questions.
Bloc leader: I cannot understand more than 4 words from him at a time and one of them happens to be Quebec.
Dion: Trying desperately to defend past liberal screw ups and blame everything else on Harper.
Harper: under serious attack and mostly mumbling about investments and how canada just needs time.
May: First time I've seen here and she seems a bit overly hopefull but full or snark and ideas.
Layton: Spends a lot of time agreeing with may and badgering Harper and Dion.
It's not over yet but already I'm failing to see much of interest being discussed and they all need to learn not to talk over each other.
In other news
Weightloss has succeeded in 3 lbs lost so far. it feels good but it's hard to keep up the momentum. Exercising more is a lot easier than agreeing to eat less. especially when it's chinese takeout night tommorow.
